We are a couple of religious fanatic, homesteading hippies, with a farm, a garden, and a pile of grand kids.
We are a family that does everything we can to be as prepared as we can. Over the years we have tried to always follow the promptings that we feel are coming to us from a loving Heavenly Father. Over the last few years we have felt a great urgency to prepare ourselves and our family for the tribulations that precede the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We have felt a need to learn skills, many that are almost forgotten.
We have started a small farm and are raising grass feed beef, chickens for eggs and meat, turkeys, ducks and geese. We also bought a Jersey cow who just had her 1st calf and is providing the family with all the milk we can use. We have invested in a small grain silo to store soft white wheat for the birds and for ourselves.
We are learning about health, and real food the way God made it. And how when we eat real food we have better health. We feel better and enjoy life more. We are growing a large garden with our children and grandchildren. We have an orchard and a berry patch. These are all things that can help us to feed ourselves and others. We have learned many skills that we feel we are supposed to share with you. these range from making bread with natural yeast, sewing, canning, herbal remedies, fermenting vegetables, gardening and much more. We continue to learn and experiment with different things. We hope to share our learning journey with you.
I have felt inspired to learn all I can about Herbs and their healing properties. I t has been a lot of fun learning about the herbs that grow on my property. Some that I have found are elderberries, hawthorn, mullein, plantain, gum weed, burdock, shave grass, Oregon grape, wormwood, purse-lane and yarrow.
We were married in 1982 when we were just 22 and 18. We have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. We have tried to live our life in accordance with God’s plan for us. We know that God has given us all that we have and he has blessed our lives in tremendous ways. We thank him for everything we have and all that we can do. Never does a day go by that we do not feel God in our lives.
We are excited to share what we have learned and what we are learning and hope you enjoy what we have to offer.
